Le Rhun began as a dream of creating something more than just holiday accommodation.
Set in the peaceful Breton countryside of France, this former cider farm has been lovingly restored to offer warmth, comfort, and space to truly unwind. From the very beginning, our focus has been simple: create somewhere that feels welcoming the moment you arrive.
We believe holidays should feel easy. Not rushed. Not complicated. Just space to breathe, explore, and enjoy being together.

At Le Rhun, everything is designed to make your stay feel simple and comfortable. Whether it is shared meals around the table, poolside laughter, or quiet mornings with coffee in the courtyard, the setting naturally brings people together.
Children find magic in the freedom here. Parents find relief in the calm.
That balance is what we care about most.
Each gite is individual with its own front door. They have all been lovingly converted from farm outbuildings and stores and we have tried to make them a real home from home.
Each gite has a fully equipped, full size kitchen (cooker, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine etc) and a complete complement of pots, pans, crockery, glassware and cutlery. There’s plenty of storage for your shopping.
You’ll find a comfortable lounge with TV and DVD player and a dining table for the family meal, and outside you’ve got your own garden furniture and barbecue grill, with BBQ tools.
The bedrooms will already be made up with crisply pressed fresh linen, fluffy pillows and a selection of towels for everyone.
The chances are that there will be families just like yours in neighbouring gites.
We’re not one of those complexes where everyone is crammed in on top of each other, and you can choose to do your own thing or mix with others, but for the children it’s great to know that there are nearby friends to be made.
We are in a very quiet and secure location, away from roads and traffic.
Children and their new-found friends can wander in complete safety between the sandpit, the swings, the pirate ship, the Look-Out cottage and the toys and games under the barn and they’ll always be within sight of the gites.
Every summer we are lucky to have some visiting fairies stay in our fairy glade.
They are very shy so you won’t see them, but if you look closely you will see the signs. The fairy glade is tucked away waiting to be discovered….

Le Rhun was created with families in mind. From babies taking their first steps to teenagers finding their independence, there is space here for every age to feel at home, entertained and completely free to relax.
We understand that family holidays should feel easy. That’s why so much thought has gone into making sure everyone, from toddlers to grandparents, has something to enjoy.
Travelling with little ones can feel like packing up your entire house. The last thing you want to do is fill your car with bulky equipment.
That’s why we provide a comprehensive range of baby and toddler essentials for you to borrow. Simply let us know what you would like, and we will make sure everything is set up and ready in your gîte when you arrive.
Available equipment includes travel cots, high chairs, booster seats, baby baths, shower supports, microwave sterilisers, bouncer seats, bed guards, fire guards, stair gates, step stools and toddler toilet seats.
Outside, little explorers will find sit-on tractors, garden toys and a toddler-friendly swing waiting for them. Safe spaces, simple comforts and plenty of room to roam.
There is no shortage of adventure here.
Every gîte has its own large wooden toy box and books, and once outside the exploring really begins.
Children can enjoy our large sandpit with sand toys, the Pirate Ship for imaginative adventures, and Look Out Cottage, our very own mini gîte designed just for younger guests. There are swings, slides and a rope bridge to cross, along with games to discover such as diabolos, juggling and French boules.
Fishing nets and buckets can be borrowed for rock pooling trips, and then there is our magical Fairy Glade. But you will need to be very quiet if you want to spot the fairies.
As children grow, so does their sense of adventure.
Older children will find plenty to keep them entertained, including a volleyball and badminton court with bats and balls ready to use, a football and games field, mini football table, Swingball and French boules.
There is also a treasure hunt around the grounds, games and books to borrow from the barn, and a large DVD library filled with cartoons, family films and favourites for relaxed evenings.

Le Rhun is not just for the children. It is designed to bring everyone together.
Our heated swimming pool is perfect for sunny afternoons, with children accompanied by an adult. Games and books can be borrowed for cosy evenings back in your gîte, and the Fairy Glade continues to enchant visitors of every age, from 2 to 102.
Here, the days unfold slowly. Children play freely. Adults truly switch off. And family time feels natural and unhurried.
